Meet the Doctor

Terry Anelons has been a healthcare professional for more than 25 years, beginning his career as a Pharmacist and then as a Doctor of Chiropractic. 

He started his medical professional career after graduating from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1980, when he joined the Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, as a Staff Pharmacist.  He worked with B&W for four years, during which time he became an avid runner.  It was a running injury that introduced him to chiropractic care.  He thought he hurt his knee in a race, and learned that the cause of the injury was a misaligned hip.  He was impressed with this non-invasive, drug-free, hands-on treatment and decided to learn more about it.  His new knowledge led him to move his career in a different direction and he headed West to attend one of the country’s best schools of Chiropractic treatment.

Terry graduated in 1987 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa and completed his internship with Chiropractic Associates of Bedford, New Hampshire.  He set up his own practice – Harvard Chiropractic in 1989 – a family chiropractic practice.  He sees many men and women, from infants to seniors, and is a specialist in Neurology and Sports Medicine.  He finds that young athletes lack the balance between strength and flexibility that is critical to their sports success; and they become injury prone.  Terry believes that Chiropractic can help ensure a safer and longer sports career.  He knows that the key to athletic success can be optimal joint movement and flexibility.  He has treated local players, professional athletes, and Ironman competitors.

Terry is a good role model for all that chiropractic stands for – a holistic lifestyle characterized by exercise, healthy diet, overall feeling of fitness, and minimal or stress-free living.  He is still a runner, is an avid heli-skier, enjoys ice skating and hockey.  Harvard Chiropractic supports many local sports endeavors, community organizations and various fundraisers.
